WILLIAM EDWARD (ED) AMELL 1915 - 2002 Peacefully on Tuesday, March
26, 2002 with his wife by his side, William Edward Amell passed
away at the age of 86.

wife of 62 years Clara; his sons, Bruce (Marlene) of Winnipeg, Ian
of Toronto, Claire (MJ) of Edgewood, BC, Craig of Kenora; daughter
Brenda (Dave) Sippel of Canmore, AB.; his loving grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; his sister Rose Hazlett as well as many other

Ed was born in Winnipeg on December 5, 1915. He married
Clara Krampetz in 1940 and they began their life together.
While
attending Radio College, Ed worked for Swift Canadian. After
receiving his Radio Certificate he joined the Merchant Marines.
Upon his return he embarked on his lifelong career with the
Canadian Department of Transport as a Radio Operator and later as
a Radar Technician until his retirement in December of 1979.
Ed
loved the outdoors and to hunt and fish. He also spent many happy
hours on the bowling lanes. He cherished his family and was able
to enjoy having them by his side for a special Easter celebration
last Sunday. The family would like to extend their heartfelt
thanks to the care givers of Central Park Lodge. Your many acts of
kindness will be remembered by our family always.
As per his
wishes cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate his
life privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in
Edwards memory to the Heart and Lung Foundation. Dad you were
always there when we needed you. We will always remember you in
our heart and thoughts. We love you, rest in peace.
