Jeff Hunter
Jeffrey (Jeff) W. E. Hunter of Calgary passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Jeff was born in Grenfell, SK on April 8, 1927.
He was in the newspaper business for a few years and then spent thirty-five years with the Federal Government with the Department of Transport and later the Department of Communications in Western Canada and the Yukon Territory.
Jeff found great relaxation in his gardening and spent many hours tending to his plants. Jeff leaves to mourn his loving wife Dorothy; sons Alan (Karen), Doug (Maria), and Gerald (Mira); two grandchildren Jeffrey and Lisa; and many nieces and nephews. Jeff was predeceased by his parents Fred and Teresa Hunter, brothers Ray and Alan, his sister Norma and his son Murray. A Memorial Service will be held at the All Angels Church in Grenfell, SK at a later date.
