Attached is the obituary for Jim Lafrenière. He was the Certification Manager at the then Clyde Avenue Certification and Engineering Bureau.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Lafreniere (Ottawa) on October 27,2021 at the age of 89. Jim passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

He was survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years, Mary Menna (nee Glass), sons Robert (Katherine), Mark (Nathalie), stepchildren Margot Menna (Kevin Scrim), Barbara Menna MacKay (Allan), Blair Menna (Francine), Tony Menna, and grandchildren Caroline, Troy, Quinn, Liam, Brandon, Max, Mary Kate, Erik, Nicole, Sam and Frederique. Jim was predeceased by his wife Celia (Arsenault) and daughter Debbie.

Jim will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband and father, loving grandfather, enthusiastic private pilot, and proud member of the Korean Veterans Association. Jim and Mary enjoyed many years of travel throughout Europe, line dancing, and winters in Florida.

Friends may pay respects at The Legion, 4026 old Richmond Road, Bells Corners on Saturday November 6, 2pm-3pm. Celebration of Life will take place from 3pm to 4pm. Please note that double vaccination is required to attend. In Memoriam donations to The Legion on Richmond Rd appreciated.
