LEE-CHONG, Vincent passed away peacefully, after a valiant struggle with cancer, in the presence of his family on December 23, 2010 at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Jean Lee-Chong (nee Macfarlane). Predeceased by parents Vincent Lee-Chong Sr. and Albertina Lee-Chong (nee Battersby) and brother, Malcolm Lee-Chong, all of Trinidad, West Indies. Dear and loving father of William Lee (Valerie) and Elizabeth Lee-Chong. Loving grandfather of Jeremie Vincent Lee. Dear brother of Eileen Barrow and Harold Lee-Chong. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Trinidad and the United States.
Vincent was born and raised in Trinidad and he worked as a journalist and a teacher before immigrating to Canada to study electrical engineering. After university, he spent his career working as a Professional Engineer in the public service of Canada. He ended his career as a Director for the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.
In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, travelling and being with his friends and family. A patient, positive man, he will be missed by all who knew him.
